Star Academy Exceeding Ontario Curriculum Standards

All children learn differently. At Star Academy, we identify how each student will learn best. Whether it be visual, through sound or any sensory combination, our multi-modal approach helps students achieve. And it is this feeling of achievement that makes learning so much easier to love. At Star Academy the expectations of the Ontario Curriculum are met and more often exceeded. The implementation of the curriculum is done in a variety of ways to best meet the individual needs of each student. With a team teaching approach in each classroom, the strengths of the teachers are enhanced and their extensive experiences utilized. The 10:1 ratio also allows for the development of a thorough understanding of each student.

A key component of our Academic programme is PhysEd. That's not a typo. The growing body of research that says our physical behaviour has a direct relationship with our 'smarts' is one we believe strongly in. Our students now do too.
