Personality Development

An important part of our role is to ensure all our students have an appreciation of the world we all inhabit.

We try always to combine personality development with academic achievement and witnessing the incubation of twelve small eggs, nine of which became chicks, taught much more than the science.

Grandparents Day

Grandparents’ Day at Star is always a wonderful opportunity to position the many tales brought home from school into context.

The Partnership between School and Family is key to much of the success any student can attain. To ignore it or to misuse it (school or family) does the child a great disservice.

Step by Step

As Parents we know how we would like our children to be, we’re often just not quite so sure of how to get there – when to step in or when to step back. Taking a risk is an essential part of children learning about themselves.

Watching over them, as we do, is very different from watching them.

Stengths and Skills

Sport IS about winning. It’s the definition of a victory that’s unique. If your start point is ‘…can’t catch a ball…’ then as soon as we show you that you can do so much more, you’ve won! If your start point is gaining even more speed, strength or skills then as soon as we show you how to do that too, you’ve won!

And if you win, that’s a small victory for us too.

Challenges

Climbing a wall can be a challenge. Climbing a wall secure in the knowledge that there is a team supporting you makes that challenge more attainable. Real success is never achieved in isolation.

The recognition of where you have come from is important to appreciate when deciding your future path.

Graduates

Don’t look quite so happy Guys! As part of our 2010 Graduates this may be the last time Star has them together.

Although with a combined thirty one years service, maybe they’re due a break!

We’ll miss you!

Early Learning

Early learning is crucial. We cannot make that any clearer.

Get it right and the course is set for years. Get it wrong and the impact can last a lifetime. Learning should be sub-conscious.

Loving school should be a pre-requisite.
