Star Learning Centre

The Star Learning Centre offers three services to Star and non-Star students alike – Educational Assessment, Elementary Tutoring and High School Support.

Educational Assessments are available throughout the academic year by appointment.

This assessment evaluates the academic levels of the student and some of the processing factors that contribute to them. This testing determines academic level of functioning in; Mathematics, Reading, Comprehension, Written expression and Visual Processing skills.

This process will last 3 to 4 hours and is accompanied by a written report acceptable to all education professionals. It is specifically designed not to be in any way intimidating for your child, but to offer insights as to how best your child will be able to learn to love to learn.

Cost $800 (50% refundable on student enrolment)

The Elementary Tutoring and High School Support is offered on a ‘drop in’ basis or as a structured programme, depending on the needs and circumstances of your family. This can be particularly valuable for those Grade 8 students looking to enter High School with total confidence.

The Learning Centre focuses on skill based lessons. By learning process (rather than content) each child will become better able to meet the demands of their class, and home, work. The strategies learned will result in less stress, less frustration, more achievement and a consequently happier individual.
